Serving with Joy

When God asks you to do something for Him, do you respond with joy?  Whether it’s a task you enjoy or not, God delights seeing His children doing it with joy.
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit and is a beautiful fruit when it comes from the heart.  Joy is not dependant on circumstances, but is a decision of the heart.  When we choose to be joyful, when God gives a task to do, God blesses us for being joyfully obedient.  Even if the task is undesirable, we should be joyful that we are able to do it.  And we should thank the Lord for allowing us to do something for Him.  After all He has done for us, it is but a small gift we have to give in return in perspective to what Christ did.
Considering what Christ has done for us, we ought to be joyful about every task we’re given from Him and be glad that there is a way we can show our gratefulness for Christ’s sacrifice.
So may I encourage each of you to serve the Lord with Joy and Gratefulness.
